Georgia Power plans to run a 115,000-volt transmission line through one of the city’s most historic neighborhoods.
Massive power poles will turn parts of Sycamore St. and Ponce de Leon Ave into an industrial corridor. They intend to remove hundreds of trees, install 100-foot steel poles in our front yards, and string high-voltage lines over our kids’ heads as they walk to school.
